Three finalists will receive $500 travel grants towards travel to the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Annual Event. The winner of the competition will be selected for an industry visit to Campden BRI in the United Kingdom. The trip will be approximately 10 days long. The winner’s travel costs will be covered up to $7,500. Final details will be determined by the sponsoring company in discussion with the winner.
The industry visit will occur at a mutually agreed upon time between September and December. While at Campden BRI, the winner will have the opportunity to experience each of the major divisions (science, technology, brewing, and knowledge management), focusing on the most relevant areas to the winner’s studies. They will visit industry members to gain insight to the UK/EU perspective.
Participants should be currently enrolled in a graduate level degree program (i.e. MS, Ph.D., or equivalent) and a current student member of IFT. For complete details, consult the Rules and Regulations document for this competition.
